XBox Repairs
Fortunately I've never had to get any Xbox repairs, although I know some friends that have had problems (some as bad as it just plain stopped working). I've only had it crash once, it was some sort of "Out of Bounds" error and it was on a...surprise...blue screen of death!
Another problem is the DVD read error. This happens over time if the laser gets dirty and is probably the most common problem. The easiest thing to do in this situation is go to your local game store (where you bought it), or Best Buy and get a DVD drive cleaner. Same thing you would do with the playstation.
If you have additional problems that are outside the typical normal issues, than here are a couple of sites that specialize in this sort of thing.
XBox Repairs Guide.com - This site has a repairguide (for those who like to do things themselves) and will also buy your xbox for parts.
LLamma's Website for XBox Repairs - This site has a lot of good info on all sorts of things and sells spare parts, and will also buy them from you. There is also a wealth of information on a lot of other topics outside of the XBox. There's also a page to buy and sell XBox Parts as well.
Hopefully you'll never have to get an XBox repair, but the above sites should help you out. Of course if its still under warranty, I would definately suggest calling Microsoft customer support at 1-800-4MY-XBOX and having them fix it for you.
