To successfully enter the codes hold down White, then enter the code, then release White:

 
Sub-Zero: While holding white, enter X-D-U-L-L-U-X, then release white.

Classic MKII: While holding white, enter X-U-D-R-L-Black-X, then release white.

Scorpion: While holding white, enter X-U-L-R-X, then release white.
