The following is a list of characters that can be unlocked:

Unlock Patty: Complete chapter 1

Unlock Rhombus: Complete chapter 2

Unlock Vault Dweller: Complete game

Hidden Weapon - Meat Cannon: There's a small island on the other side of the chasm near the console where you save the game.  The Meet Cannon is in the lockers on the truck on the island.
