Extra money:
Once your magic gauge is at 4 go to the raven and beat him over and over again to get a ton of money.  An additional way to get money is have a friend who has a lot of money.  When you're on any level make sure your power gauge is raised to the max. Press the Y button over and over and you will receive 50 gold for every hit.
